We first produced this new white wine made from our local white grape varietal in 2021. Definitely a striking wine, the new favourite of many guests who return to the estate and discover this pleasant surprise. “Maria Assunta” is the mother of Susanna (owner and manager of the cellar) and this wine reflects all her qualities: pleasant, structured and more complex than Consesta. It improves with time and is definitely a wine to be shared. Our sincere thanks go to all those guests who have encouraged us over the years to implement this new project.

The ageing conveys a beautiful golden colour and captivating notes of ripe fruit and nuts. Inviting freshness and minerality are strong points of this wine, which combines a citrusy
character with a dry heart.

“Maria Assunta” is excellent with medium-mature cheese and fish, but it reaches its finest expression with white meats and salmon.

Productiong method and ageing

Part of the wine ages for nine months in small French containers before being added back to the younger, fresher part.
