Orme in Rosso is a Tuscan red wine made with Merlot, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot grapes. From 2007 we produce this wine only on odd years waiting for the perfect evolution of the single varietals. Deep ruby red with mature red berries, very fragrant and fruity with spicy hints of Mediterranean herbs. Savoury, elegant body and harmonious tannins with a good persistence. Better served with red meats, grilled or roasted, or with rich pasta sauce.
Family blend, selected by our vineyards. Cold maceration for 48 hours, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel for 20 days with pumping over and gentle pressing which allow a high extraction. Aging for 12 months in French oak barrels and further refinement in bottle.
