Description

Barbera d’Asti “Anno Domini”  surely has something unique. We vinify it only in historical years. 100% Barbera grown in the municipality of Mombercelli, this wine comes from historic vineyards at least 30 years old, with good exposure and position in the mid-high hills.

It’s a great vinous wine that has a garnet red colour, great body and full, harmonius taste. “Anno Domini”, soft and warm, with its fruity bouquet and hints of ripe red fruits is the perfect match for important meat dishes.

Production method and aging

To produce Barbera d’Asti “Anno Domini” we thin out the clusters in order to pick only the best brunches of the vineyards.

Typical vinification in red, with 10 days of maceration on the skins. At the end of the fermentation, we rack the free-run wine and transfer it into clean tanks, where it decants for a few days. The wine then ages 8 months in steel.
